How we test flirt poles

We are a small store, not a laboratory. What follows is exactly what we did before putting this pole on sale, including the parts we could not do.

Our criteria

1. We read every rating, not a sample. The listing we buy from has twenty-seven ratings. We pulled all of them through the supplier feedback interface, including the two one-star entries, and read them in full. The quotes on this site are copied from that file word for word.
2. We compared three listings of the same product. Two other suppliers sell what appears to be the same pole. One shows a perfect five-star average across eleven ratings, the other advertises twenty-five reviews in its header but holds eight in its actual review panel. We chose the listing with the largest real corpus and the lowest price.
3. We opened the buyer photographs. Four photographs are attached to the ratings on our listing. Three of them belong to the same buyer, so this site treats them as one buyer with one photograph. Presenting one person’s pictures as several different customers would be inventing social proof.
4. We read the description images for specifications. Manufacturers on this platform often print dimensions inside images rather than in the specification table. We downloaded the description images and the gallery and read them one by one. The measurements are there, in a diagram in the gallery: a 43.3 inch cord, a 20.4 inch telescopic handle and a 15.7 inch braided lure.
5. Honest limits. We have not pull-tested this pole and we have not checked its dimensions against a tape measure. The lengths on the product page are the manufacturer’s own figures, quoted as printed.

What we won't do

We will not invent a figure the manufacturer never published, and we will not quote a durability rating that does not exist. Instead we back every order with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so the risk is on us, not you.
